To me, there is no better dessert than an easy cobbler served while hot – with ice cream if you really want to be decadent! Here are two super easy recipes I hope you enjoy!
Easy Cherry Cobbler
For this recipe, you will need butter or margarine, a 6.25 ounce package of White Lily Buttermilk Biscuit Mix (or Bisquick will do), sugar, milk, and a 20 ounce can of cherry pie filling.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Put 1/4 cup of butter or margarine in an 8 or 9 inch square baking dish. Once the oven is ready, put the baking dish in it and melt the butter or margarine. In a medium bowl, mix the 6.25 ounces of buttermilk biscuit mix with a 2/3 cup of milk and a 2/3 cup of sugar. Pour the batter over the melted butter, but do not stir! Pour the 20 ounce can of cherry pie filling over that. Place in the oven and let it cook for about 40 to 45 minutes.
Easy Blueberry Cobbler
For this recipe, you will need flour, sugar, baking powder, milk, blueberries, and butter or margarine.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Put 1/4 cup of butter or margarine in an 8 or 9 inch square baking dish. Once the oven is ready, put the baking dish in it and melt the butter or margarine. In a saucepan, combine 4 cups of blueberries and 1/2 cup of sugar. Bring that to a boil, and then remove from heat. In a medium bowl, mix 1 cup of flour, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of baking powder. Add enough milk to make the mixture have the consistency of gravy. Pour the mixture over the melted butter then pour the blueberries on top. Let this bake for 30 to 35 minutes.
