Take a look inside The Tale of Strawberry Snow

Book Description:

In this charming story about making new friends, a white pony with fabulous red freckles, Strawberry Snow, is new to the world. On wobbly legs and with a heart full of courage, Strawberry Snow ventures into the cool winter landscape outside the barn where she was born. There she playfully experiences the frigid environment for the first time and makes an unlikely friend in a similarly brave spider. Illustrated with crisp and colorful digital images and told in rhyming meter, follow Strawberry Snow as she learns important life lessons and the power of friendship. Grades Pre-K to 3.

My Thoughts:

My 3 and 6 year old ask for this book to read almost every night. My 6 year old, upon seeing the cover, stated she was already in love with the book. She loves horses and books, so the combination was perfect for her. My 3 year old loves that the horse is named Strawberry Snow. I have to say, that is my favorite part as well. I especially love the red freckles on Strawberry Snow.

The book begins with a sweet birth of Strawberry Snow. It is fun to see the world as Strawberry Snow explores winter. Sweetly worded and beautifully illustrated, this book is a tale of friendship between a horse and a spider. Does it get more different? What a lovely way to teach the true meaning of friendship and the true beauty in everyone if you look close enough. I love how the mood of the story is enhanced by the colors of the illustrations. The mood it reflects is just right for a cold winter day, yet warm and relaxing making it just right for a bedtime story.
