Gratitude for Agency

Lately I have been thinking a lot about agency and choices and about how grateful I am for them. I have never been the type of person that enjoyed being told what to do. As a child I would go and do the opposite of whatever I was ordered to do. Even as an adult I find myself throwing up walls as soon as anybody tells me to do something. The Gift of Agency

Agency has been on my mind a lot lately. I am grateful that I know about agency and accountability. I just read a conference talk titled “To Act for Ourselves: The Gift and Blessings of Agency” by Robert D. Hales. This is an excellent talk about agency and the power we have to choose each day to follow the Lord. Elder Hales talks about how agency fits into the plan of salvation. Family Home Evening: Agency and Accountability

Agency and accountability are some of the most important principles that you can teach your children about. In continuing with using the For Strength of Youth Pamphlet as a guide for family home evenings, I thought that I would use the section “Agency and Accountability.” This is an important section as it talks about the ability to make choices which we each have been blessed with.
