Ashlee Welcomes a Man Cub and Madonna Embraces Freedom

Pop stars Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Pete Wentz will have one more thing to be grateful for this Thanksgiving—-their new son. According to reports, the 24-year-old singer gave birth to the couple’s first child last night. Bronx Mowgli Wentz weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 1/2 inches long, according to PEOPLE magazine. Jessica Simpson’s baby sis and her Fall Out Boy bassist hubby got hitched in May in an elaborate Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding. Although rumors of divorce and Madonna seeing NY Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez have been swirling, the whole family – Madonna, Guy, and children Lourdes, Rocco, and David – were seen at a Kabbalah service on July 5th at New York City’s Kabbalah Centre in Midtown Manhattan. Madonna showed up with wet hair and large black studded sunglasses. She sat apart from Guy during the service, but don’t read much into that.
