I saw it. In a strange turn of events I actually caught the on-air brawl between “View” co-hosts Rosie O’Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, which transpired Wednesday. If you missed the dust-up, basically the crux of the argument was rooted in the fact O’Donnell had unresolved feelings regarding Hasselbeck’s failure to defend her when media outlets suggested that she had called U.S. troops “terrorists” during a previous on-air debate. GOING She was going to perform for recovering soldiers at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, but instead singer and anti-war activist Joan Baez says she was told to take a hike. The 66-year-old folk singer revealed her feelings about the incident in a recent letter to the Washington Post. Okay, this time, Rosie was egged on a bit. Apparently, House Majority Leader Tom DeLay called for Rosie to be suspended from her duties on “The View” last Friday. It seems that DeLay was a bit upset by the firing of Don Imus over his racist comments about the Rutger’s girl’s basketball team.
