CAN’T KEEP HOMER DOWN Maybe Homer, Bart and Lisa are part cat because they’re baaack on Venezuelan TV after being axed less than two weeks ago. According to local news reports, “The Simpsons” animated series has returned to Venezuelan TV in a new time slot after regulators yanked it from the air earlier this month. The long running Fox series returned to Venezuelan airwaves Wednesday at 7 p.m. and will now be shown at that time each week. It’s bye-bye Bart in Venezuela. After getting the boot from China a TV channel in Venezuela has also pulled the plug on “The Simpsons” because it contains material officials say is inappropriate for children. According to local newspapers, the decision came after the country’s National Telecommunications Commission received dozens of angry complaints from viewers, who were distressed that the animated series was being aired daily during an 11 a.m. time slot.
