Her first in-vitro try resulted in she and hubby/manager Rene’s 9-year-old son Rene-Charles, so it has been a long road for the couple. Perhaps in an attempt to help repair his tarnished image, Duane “Dog” Chapman, the bounty hunter, made an appearance Saturday at a holiday toy giveaway. It was sponsored by the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny (BOND), a conservative black advocacy group. So much for wanting to get my mom tickets to see Celine Dion perform live in Las Vegas. Last night the 39-year-old French-Canadian singing sensation took her final bow on the Caesars Palace stage that she has called home for the last five years. Dion performed 717 shows in Caesars’ $95 million, 4,100-seat Colosseum, which was designed and created specifically for her five-year engagement. In return, the singer walked away with more than $160 million—-a record for a live entertainer. Celine Dion made headlines (and multiple appearances on Oprah) in 2003 when it was announced that she would be moving to Las Vegas to serve as the headliner at Caesars Palace.
