American Idol News about Runner-Up Adam Lambert

It has been almost a week since Kris Allen was crowned the latest winner of “American Idol,” but so far, the majority of the news seems to be about the runner-up Adam Lambert. Clay Aiken had some not so nice things to say about the second place finisher in his blog, which only paying members can access. Right after the finale, Aiken said that Lambert’s version of the Johnny Cash classic “Ring of Fire” was “awful,” “contrived,” and “slightly frightening.” He also wrote that while listening to the performance, he thought his ears would bleed. He also went on to … Continue reading

Clay’s Gay

Call it the anti-news flash. The former “American Idol” runner-up is coming out of the closet appearing on the cover of the latest issue of People magazine holding his newborn son with the headline: “Yes, I’m Gay.” Yes, we know. Is Aiken’s revelation really front-page news? Seriously, was there any indication that the multiplatinum recording artist and Broadway star wasn’t gay? Is it really as big a “secret” as People makes it out to be? And who really cares anyway? The new issue doesn’t hit newsstands until Friday, but People posted a “sneak peek” of their interview with Aiken on … Continue reading

Clay Aiken’s Lucky Baby and Famous Mother and Daughter Team Up for “Dancing with the Stars”

If Clay Aiken’s new son ever visits China he might just be hailed as the luckiest boy alive. The former “American Idol” contestant and his music producer gal pal Jaymes Foster welcomed Parker Foster Aiken at 8:08 a.m. this morning. That’s right, the kid was born on 8/08/08 at 8:08 a.m. (Incidentally, my youngest brother was born on the ninth day of the ninth month at 9:09 a.m., but that was back in the late 70s.) In China the number 8 is considered very lucky because the Chinese word for eight sounds similar to the word that means, “prosper” or … Continue reading
