Celeb Update: Gone and Not Forgotten

GONE! So much for Star Jones’s big TV comeback. The ex-“View” co-host spent months promoting her latest venture–“The Star Jones Show”—–but now it appears the program couldn’t live up to the hype. According to show producers, Jones’ show is getting axed from the TruTV (formerly Court TV) line-up. The network says the move was a “mutual agreement” between Jones and TruTV execs. Network bigwigs also noted that they plan to rebrand and refocus remaining programs. New Looks For Some Old Favorites

“High School Musical”—it’s everywhere! The Disney smash hit started off as a TV movie, morphed into a quadruple-platinum CD, then hit the road as a touring live concert and a top-selling DVD. Now, (brace yourself) “High School Musical” is chilling out—on ice. That’s right; “Disney’s High School Musical: The Ice Tour” is heading to an arena near you. Beginning August 31st the tour will travel to at least 100 cities over the next year. Star Jones Reynolds Returns To TV

She took a hike when she learned that she was getting the boot, and now Star Jones Reynolds says she’s ready to make her big comeback. You’ll remember last June Reynolds made her now infamous exit from daytime’s chat fest, “The View” in true diva-like fashion. (To recap: Last spring, the 44-year-old co-host was told her contract was not going to be renewed, but she beat producers to the punch by announcing she was quitting.
