The Unlucky and the Stupid

Most people would think they had it made if they won the lottery. Timothy Elliott probably thought the same thing when he bought a $10 ticket at a Hyannis supermarket that netted him $1 million in the $800 Million Spectacular game. There was only one problem – Timothy was a convicted felon. In October 2006, Timothy pleaded guilty to unarmed robbery of a Cape Cod bank. And They Thought They Were So Smart!

I had to chuckle to myself when I just read the news item about someone online trying to sell the personal information of one Herman Munster. That is right – you read it correctly – they tried to sell information for Herman Munster, the beloved Frankenstein head of the Munster family. Apparently the wannabe crooks (I call them wannabes because obviously they are not very smart) decided to try to sell credit card numbers and personal information online.
