2008 Oscar Fashion

Did you honestly think I would overlook this year’s fashion at the Academy Awards? I definitely had some opinions about the outfits, although I must say the guys for the most part were well dressed but dull. Even Johnny Depp looked normal! 80th Annual Academy Awards – The Winners!

I have to admit that with a three year old, I rarely get to see movies in the theatre anymore. This can be painful for me as most Academy Award nominated films are not out on DVD before the time the ceremony airs. The SAG Awards

There were some stars on the red carpet last night for the Screen Actor Guild Awards. The ceremony was given a waiver by the writer’s guild, so unlike the Golden Globes, the show did go on with the stylish glitz we have come to expect from an award’s ceremony. Debra Messing did not win the Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries (for “The Starter Wife”), but dazzle the crowd with her Oscar de la Renta jeweled halter-top gown.
