A Brief History of Celebrity Cougars

Last night, I watched the season finale of Age of Love. If you missed the show, it featured 31-year-old tennis star Mark Philippoussis as a single man looking for love. The catch of the show was that they brought in 13 eligible bachelorettes for him to choose from – six in their twenties (dubbed the kittens) and seven in their forties (dubbed the cougars). The show was supposed to show that age meant nothing. Well, in the end, apparently age did mean something. Mark picked 25-year-old Amanda Salinas over 48 year old Jen Braff. Regardless of the results of that … Continue reading

Hollywood’s Single Girls Speak Out

Taking her cue from Demi Moore or Brad Garrett’s ex-wife, “Baywatch” star Carmen Electra says she is still “very good friends” with her rocker ex-husband Dave Navarro—-despite having split from him more than a year ago. Electra says while they are no longer romantically involved they are still “very close.” “We talk on the phone all the time, almost every day,” Electra recently told PEOPLE Magazine. “It’s been great because we’ve been able to stay friends.” You’ll recall the pair starred on the MTV reality show “Til Death Do Us Part.” So was appearing on the show the kiss of … Continue reading

Celebrity Updates: Mysteries Solved

Granted, I don’t know all the details of Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s divorce, but I can’t help but wonder what the actress thinks about the current state of her ex-husband’s life. But I digress. The topic of this blog is celebrity mysteries and one of them has evidently been solved … Continue reading

Megastar Demi Moore says her family needs a shot of testosterone. The actress, a mom to three teenage girls, is going public about her desire to have a son. “I wouldn’t mind a little balancing out of that estrogen,” Moore recently told TV’s “Access Hollywood.” The 44-year-old actress is mom to daughters Rumer, 18, Scout, 15, and Tallulah, 13, with ex-husband Bruce Willis, but she says she would love to add a male offspring to the clan with current husband Ashton Kutcher. A few months ago Moore told a Vanity Fair reporter that she “most definitely” wants kids with Kutcher: … Continue reading

Juicy Hollywood Tidbits

It seems to be a slow week in Hollywood – the Anna Nicole stuff is finally grinding to a halt, no one has announce a pregnancy or divorce lately – even Britney is behaving herself! But I was able to find a few news items you may have missed: Talullah to Become Lulu I have always thought Bruce Willis and Demi Moore gave their daughters unusual names: Rumer, Scout LaRue, and Tallulah Belle. I believe Rumer was named after British novelist Rumer Godden, Scout was named after a character in To Kill a Mockingbird,” and I am not sure where … Continue reading

Do you love your name? Do you have a name that makes you original? Or do you dislike the fact that you share your name with other people? Are you named after a parent, grandparent, or someone else? Everyday we hear celebrity names and most of them sound so distinct and beautiful. You don’t hear of many celebrities with frumpy names. But, how many of them were born with their names? Angelina Jolie’s name sounds almost as exotic as she looks, but did you know Jolie is actually her middle name? She dropped her last night (Voight). Somehow, Angelina Voight … Continue reading
