She is a talk show host, she’s an “American Idol” judge, and now Ellen DeGeneres is a comic book hero. You may have known for years that Ellen is a loyal advocate of animal rights. She has supported the American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign, the Farm Sanctuary, Heifer International, the Society for Animal Protective Legislation, and the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). Just five day’s after attending her ex-fiance DJ AM’s funeral, Nicole Richie gave birth to her second child. She and Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden welcomed son Sparrow James Midnight Madden into the world on September 9th. The baby weighed in at 7 pounds, 14 ounces. His sister, Harlow Winter Kate, was born in January 2008. Okay, call me old, but I am just not into Twitter. Not together, though, that would make for an interesting blog… and potential TV movie. Comedian turned talk show hostess Ellen DeGeneres and her partner Portia de Rossi are reportedly adding to their family. According to Star magazine, de Rossi plans to undergo fertility treatments in a few months.
