Music in Your Home

Primary songs are a great addition to the atmosphere in your home. Unfortunately for my children, I am not a huge fan of most children’s music. I will put it on occasionally, but not that often. One way that I have found a compromise is to play the Primary songs for my children. I enjoy the songs more and I feel as though they are helping my children to grow spiritually as well. General Conference: “The Nourishing Power of Hymns”

In his talk “The Nourishing Power of Hymns” Elder Jay E Jensen stresses the important role that hymns have in our church. He speaks of experiences where hymns invited in the spirit and he was able to learn from them. He speaks of fond memories that involve singing the hymns.
