Indiana Jones: The Legend of the Video Games

By now, we are all familiar with the movie-tie in video game. After all, movies today aren’t just movies. They are huge merchandising franchises that produce everything from tie-in toys to tie-in shampoo. In fact, I even heard a rumor of one company that wanted to license a movie tie-in for insecticide. No, I don’t want to even know what the move was that inspired that one. Video game tie-ins are not surprising. After all, you already have a plot (or tasks to complete the story), characters and plenty of graphics that are already conceptualized before a single piece of … Continue reading

Harrison Ford Is In Hilo

That’s right; Indiana Jones is in Hilo, Hawaii. The place I was born and raised. Unfortunately, I’m 5,000 miles away from my childhood home, but I am thrilled for my family and friends (and the rest of the residents of our sleepy town) who get the privilege of meeting (maybe) the award-winning actor while he films scenes from the latest Indy adventure. According to witnesses, the rest of the players in the actor’s group laughed and clapped, while Lowe raised his arms and wryly … Continue reading

The Return Of Indiana Jones

Actor Harrison Ford (who played Indiana Jones in all three movies) has announced that he feels “fit to continue” to play the adventurous character in a fourth film. The 64-year-old actor made the announcement at the inaugural Rome Film Festival; despite he says his “advancement in years.” Ford told reporters he was delighted to team up again with directors Steven Spielberg and George Lucas for the film. (Lucas co-wrote and executive produced the earlier films, which Spielberg directed.) … Continue reading
