Christmas Lights?

Last week at church the minister talked of why Christmas and Christmas lights always go together. I’d heard other reasons as to how they were connected but they often seemed rather tenuous. But I liked the way he linked them. It made the most sense to me. Right from the beginning Christmas has always been linked with light. He used as his reference the prophecy of Isaiah 60:1-3 and the light coming into the darkness. Life Lessons from Isaiah 2

Yesterday we looked at life lessons from Isaiah 1. What can we learn and apply to our lives from Isaiah 2? Isaiah 2:1-5 Isaiah saw that in the last days Jerusalem would flourish and become the spiritual center of God’s kingdom from which believers would learn more of God. This is obviously talking of the time when God’s Kingdom has come for it is a time of peace and no more war, and a time when the Lord Reigns as judge. Life Lessons from Isaiah

The first chapter of Isaiah holds lessons not just for Judah back in Old Testament times but for us as well. Isaiah 1:1-9 Isaiah reveals the rebellion and wickedness of Judah. According to Isaiah the people had acted corruptly and abandoned the Lord and turned away from Him, verse 4. They were in rebellion against God, verse 5.
