Friday was not a good day for Oscar-nominated director John Singleton. According to police reports, 39-year-old Singleton killed a female jaywalker who stepped in front of his Lexus SUV as he was driving it down a street in L.A.’s Jefferson Park neighborhood. The 57-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead shortly after the incident. Singleton, meanwhile, was questioned by police and later released.
