Celebrities Playing the Moving Game

Move over Trace Adkins another smooth talker is heading to Genoa City. Her hair is about as long as the country crooner’s but that’s about all Kathy Hilton has in common with the “Celebrity Apprentice” runner-up other than the fact she also secured a gig on CBS’ award-winning soap opera “The Young and the Restless.” Paris’ mom will play herself on the May 13th episode. According to show producers, Hilton is asked to find a magazine cover model for her friend Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), but takes over the photo shoot in a manner that infuriates magazine staffers. This will … Continue reading

Free At Last—Paris Walks

While most of us were nestled in bed (please don’t tell me you stayed up to watch it unfold), one of the country’s most talked about jailbirds took flight shortly after midnight Pacific Time. Paris Hilton is once again a free woman. With a huge grin plastered on her face the hotel heiress strolled out of jail and into her mother’s arms. The 26-year-old party princess was dressed down in an olive jacket, white shirt, tight jeans, and her hair was pulled back in a braided ponytail (reminiscent of her days on the farm during the first season of her … Continue reading

Paris’ Countdown To Freedom

It’s been a few days since I’ve updated you on our favorite jailbird’s condition. As with all matters time waits for no man (regardless if he is behind bars) and by my calculations we are less than a week away from the BIG day—Paris Hilton’s release from jail. Before we address that momentous occasion let’s recap some of the Paris-related events that have transpired over the past few days: FATHER’S DAY BEHIND BARS I doubt Paris’ father, Rick Hilton, ever imagined a time that he would be visiting one of his precious daughters in the county jail—-let alone doing so … Continue reading

Jamie Lee Curtis Rails On Paris’ Parents

Many believe actress Jamie Lee Curtis was merely voicing what millions of other mothers were thinking in regards to Paris Hilton’s latest incarceration. (Hey, what’s one more voice in the chorus against Paris?) Curtis recently penned an essay addressing the socialite’s scandal and took aim at Ma and Pa Hilton and their lack of parental guidance. The 48-year-old actress’ rant also slammed the parents of Paris’ other party-going, rehab attending peers (presumably, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears). Curtis’ essay is titled “Mom, It’s Not Right!” (which refers to Hilton’s cries to her mother, Kathy Hilton, as she was escorted back … Continue reading

Paris’ Privileges

Seriously, did anyone really expect that Paris Hilton’s family members and friends would have to wait in 4-hour long lines to visit her in jail? PUH-LEEZE!! No, really, in all seriousness, I was appalled to hear about the latest drama caused by Hurricane Hilton. According to news reports, when Hilton’s parents went to visit their blonde offspring in jail yesterday they blew past other visitors who had been standing in the hot L.A. sun for more than four hours. Hilton’s younger sister, Nicky, and ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos were also accused of skipping the line when they visited Paris on Saturday. … Continue reading

Hilton Won’t Appeal

Paris Hilton has had a change of heart. In a statement released late yesterday (from her jail cell) the blonde socialite says she won’t appeal her 45-day jail sentence. Rather, Hilton says she is “learning and growing” from her time in the slammer. “Today, I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge’s decision,” Hilton said in the statement. “While I greatly appreciate the sheriff’s concern for my health and welfare, I intend to serve my time at L.A. County Jail.” For the record, Hilton isn’t exactly in a “jail cell.” Rather, the celebutante is sitting in the medical ward … Continue reading

Back Behind Bars!

Love her or hate her, you have to admit the drama surrounding Paris Hilton’s jailing has reached a fever pitch. She’s in. She’s out. She’s in again. Who knew that California jails had revolving doors? As it stands now, the 26-year-old hotel heiress has been collected from her Hollywood home and taken back into custody after a judge ordered her to serve the remainder of her entire 45-day sentence behind bars. But, in true Hilton style that announcement was far from the most dramatic part of this morning’s events. If you had the chance to turn on any cable news … Continue reading

Pop Culture Potpourri: Bill Cosby’s Plea To Parents, “Borat’s” Going To Be A Parent, and More

BILL COSBY’S PLEA TO PARENTS Bill Cosby has never been one to hold his tongue when it comes to the issue of raising better children and this week was no exception. Yesterday, the actor joined several hundreds of anti-violence advocates for a march through West Philadelphia. He later called on parents and community elders to encourage children to help stop a wave of violence that has plagued the city for more than a year. And in true Cosby fashion he didn’t mince words. “You’ve got to teach your children how to think,” Cosby said. “You watch one blow the other … Continue reading

Moving From Denial To Acceptance

It looks as though the impossible may very well be possible after all. Against all odds, it appears Paris Hilton is moving from the denial phase of her sentencing to a slow acceptance. According to news reports, the hotel heiress has decided she won’t appeal the 45-day jail term she was sentenced to earlier this month for violating probation. When I first heard the news I was skeptical, but in fact, court documents confirm that the 26-year-old socialite is abandoning her appeal. Whereas I don’t think it is necessarily cause for celebration, it does indicate the heiress is now prepared … Continue reading

Paris Hilton Asks Governor For Pardon

Her first attempt to use her celebrity status didn’t sway a judge to go easy on her, but Paris Hilton is not giving up. The socialite is now asking you to sign a petition to help her persuade California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to pardon her from her 45-day jail sentence. So, should we applaud her efforts to remain a free woman or snort, roll our eyes, and dismiss her pathetic attempts at dodging the consequences of her actions? Perhaps this information will help you decide: Regarding her grass roots appeal to fans (actually, I don’t think she cares if you … Continue reading
