Regardless of what you may think about her famous (or in her father’s case—infamous) parents, you have to admit 1-year-old Suri Cruise is one heck of a cute kid. Where does the time go? Remember when many of us (okay, many media outlets) questioned whether or not Tom Cruise’s then fiancée Katie Holmes had indeed given birth to a child? In a previous blog I wrote about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ new Louisiana home. It seems the couple is taking a detour getting there—-for good reason. According to news reports, Cruise is in Manhattan tonight raising money for New York police, firefighters and paramedics affected by the events of September 11th. His appearance (Holmes was also supposed to attend) was not billed as a surprise since the charity he is trying to raise money for—-the New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project—-is a program he co-founded in 2002. The wait is finally over. It’s official: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are now legally husband and wife (though, they may have been for a while now—more on that later). According to their spokesperson, the couple exchanged vows Saturday in front of more than 150 guests at the Odescalchi Castle in Lake Bracciano, Italy.
