Katie and Super Sweet Suri

Regardless of what you may think about her famous (or in her father’s case—infamous) parents, you have to admit 1-year-old Suri Cruise is one heck of a cute kid. And she may soon have another adorable younger sibling to share the media spotlight with. According to TV’s “Entertainment Tonight,” Katie Holmes says she is ready to have more children. In an interview scheduled to air Monday, the 28-year-old actress says she is “definitely” ready to have more kids. Apparently, being the mother of Tom Cruise’s baby daughter has been so much fun that she can’t wait to get pregnant again. … Continue reading

Star Updates: Rosie and Katie

Many people (mainly those in the media) are wondering how Rosie O’Donnell is faring in the days since she told executives at “The View” she didn’t plan to return to the show on Tuesday—or ever! (Okay, she didn’t say “ever,” but you have to wonder will all the bad blood that was spilled during her war of words with co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck if Rosie will indeed return to the show as a guest to speak on issues such as autism and adoption as she promised a few months ago.) Personally, I don’t know why members of the media are speculating … Continue reading

What Do You Make of Katie Holmes’ Cupcakes?

Prior to becoming a stay-at-home mom I used to work at an office that celebrated Fridays with a building wide potluck. We would all (well, the majority of us anyway) bring a dish to pass and every once in a blue moon our bosses would spring for pizzas. It was a nice tradition and one quite well received by all of us cash-strapped reporters. Then there were Wednesdays. Each Wednesday, without fail, one of our news anchors (she’s going to kill me for divulging this) would bring in bags of candy, place them on the assignment desk, and watch from … Continue reading

Celebrity News: The Week Ahead

How I got sucked into watching ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” I will never know. But, like millions of others, each week I find myself tuning into the dance competition to see which star’s moves are most impressive. The other little thrill I get from the show is looking at the audience to see which members of a star’s entourage gets a cameo shot. Last week I was treated to a 90210 reunion of sorts as Ian Ziering’s former cast members (Jason Priestly, Tori Spelling, and Jennie Garth) came out to root him on. This week, Laila Ali’s guests are … Continue reading

Celebrity Tidbits—Tyra’s Bad Rap, Tom “Dungeon Master” Cruise, and More

TYRA’S BAD RAP It’s nice to know that stars are not infallible. Model-turned-talk-show-host Tyra Banks always looks flawless on television, but now the world knows that even a Victoria Secret cover girl can make mistakes. Banks appeared on ABC’s chatfest “The View” a couple of days ago to clear up a nasty rumor that she was “cheap.” Turns out, a New York newspaper recently reported that Banks and music mogul Russell Simmons had “dined and dashed” after chowing down on breakfast at a Big Apple restaurant. The truth of the matter (according to Banks) is that the two stars mistakenly … Continue reading

Baby Cruise Turns One

Where does the time go? Remember when many of us (okay, many media outlets) questioned whether or not Tom Cruise’s then fiancée Katie Holmes had indeed given birth to a child? In the weeks and months that followed the reported birth of baby Cruise, various reporters filed stories that raised doubts about Suri Cruise’s existence. That was followed by a round of Suri sightings, before finally, a picture surfaced of the cutie sporting a full head of dark locks. Hard to believe all that transpired a year ago. The doted offspring of Holmes and Cruise just celebrated her first birthday … Continue reading

Tom Cruise—”Hero” To Some 9/11 Emergency Workers

In a previous blog I wrote about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ new Louisiana home. It seems the couple is taking a detour getting there—-for good reason. According to news reports, Cruise is in Manhattan tonight raising money for New York police, firefighters and paramedics affected by the events of September 11th. His appearance (Holmes was also supposed to attend) was not billed as a surprise since the charity he is trying to raise money for—-the New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project—-is a program he co-founded in 2002. It’s no surprise (at least to those who know Cruise) that the … Continue reading

Happy New Year! Time to create habits!

OK, how many happy new year blogs are you going to read? Maybe a ton. Maybe just one. But I hope you read this one! Why? Because, this week can be so important in your business! My goal this week is to make a ton of calls. Normally I aim for just 2 – 5 a day, but I have so much information to get out! Right now, being January, is just a good excuse to call. I addressed this in my last blog. So besides make a ton of calls, what else do I plan to do? Create good … Continue reading

I Now Pronounce You Mr. and Mrs. TomKat

The wait is finally over. It’s official: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are now legally husband and wife (though, they may have been for a while now—more on that later). According to their spokesperson, the couple exchanged vows Saturday in front of more than 150 guests at the Odescalchi Castle in Lake Bracciano, Italy. Details on the ceremony are slowly being leaked to the media. Here’s what has been released so far: Holmes was walked down the aisle by her dad, Martin. She wore “an off-the-shoulder Armani gown with a train in ivory silk cadis adorned in Valenciennes lace and … Continue reading

Countdown To Cruise’s I Do’s

Well, if you believe what the international media is screaming with banner headlines then in less than 36 hours Tom Cruise and his fiancée Katie Holmes will finally become man and wife. For weeks, rumors have been swirling that TomKat would likely wed Saturday in a Scientology ceremony held at a 15th-century Italian castle in the lakeside town of Bracciano, near Rome. Today, the same day that A-list Hollywood stars and supposed wedding guests arrived via charted plane to join the couple in Rome, Bracciano’s mayor spoke to the swarms of reporters that have descended on the small town. The … Continue reading
