DEATH OF A FASHION ICON I’ve been wearing her designs since high school so it was with great sadness that I learned legendary fashionista Liz Claiborne died yesterday. According news reports, Claiborne had been battling cancer and died at New York-Presbyterian Hospital on Tuesday. She was 78. Claiborne was born in Brussels, but immigrated to the United States as a child and grew up in New Orleans.
