Catching Up with Britney Spears

Britney Spears seems to be making a comeback and while her life is still probably considered crazy by some standards, things do seem to be working out well for the former pop queen. She’s getting ready to head out on her Circus tour in March, but she may not be alone. Custody arrangements are being worked out with her ex, Kevin Federline, so Britney will be able to have her boys join her on the road. Right now, Kevin has primary custody with Britney having 50-50 access to them in visitation rights, so Kevin is working on a schedule where … Continue reading

Britney’s Reformation Goes Up in Smoke

Just when you thought Britney Spears was finally getting her life back together the media sends up smoke signals that all may not be well at Casa Crazy. The media is fired up, but the smoke is actually coming from Spears… via a cigarette. According to reports, the pop star’s parenting skills have come under question once again after she was photographed exposing her young sons to second-hand smoke. Last week members of the paparazzi shot Ms. Meltdown standing in a bikini next to her 2-year-old son Sean Preston lighting up and then taking a few drags before turning her … Continue reading

It’s Over! Britney and Kevin Settle

So much for seeing Britney Spears and Kevin Federline square off in court. The legal saga that has surrounded the reforming pop star and her wannabe rapper ex-husband for nearly two years is drawing to a close… for now. The former couple has reportedly reached a settlement in their prolonged and at times ugly custody battle over their two young sons. While the agreement has yet to be authorized by a judge, reports say Federline will retain sole custody of 2-year-old Preston and 1-year-old Jayden. Meanwhile, Spears who currently sees the boys three times a week (with one overnight visitation) … Continue reading

Celebrities Getting the Royal Treatment—Simon Cowell and Britney Spears

SIMON COWELL Most ousted “American Idol” contestants would be thrilled to see music mogul Simon Cowell get the royal boot from his high horse, but it doesn’t appear as though that will be happening anytime soon. In fact, the cocky Brit is actually getting the royal treatment in his homeland. According to British newspapers, Cowell has just been awarded a privilege typically reserved for members of the royal family and eminent politicians – he can now park his car wherever he wants to. The paper is reporting that the “Britain’s Got Talent” judge made a fuss about parking restrictions in … Continue reading

K-Fed–From Super Daddy to Sugar Daddy

The ladies love Kevin Federline’s big, fat… tips. And why not? Britney Spears’ ex recently rewarded a cocktail waitress with a $2,000 tip on a $365 meal tab. No word on what she did to deserve the huge bonus, but that’s fodder for another blog. This blog is all about the Benjamins and how purported pauper Federline is making like a king with his ex-wife’s money. Last week the Superior Court of California released K-Fed’s financial records detailing his spending habits between May 2007 and January 2008. The documents were collected in conjunction with the ongoing custody battle Federline is … Continue reading

Hollywood Dads—-Who Are They Kidding?

It’s been more than a year since Ryan Phillippe and his Oscar-winning actress wife Reese Witherspoon split, but only now is the actor speaking out about life post-divorce. The 33-year-old father to the couple’s two children Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4 recently told USA Today that “it’s bizarre” to see photos of his ex-wife and her new boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal splashed on the pages of entertainment publications. No word on how he feels seeing them together in person. Phillippe told the newspaper that he goes out of his way to avoid looking at pictures of his ex and her new … Continue reading

Get a Piece of Britney

Why not? Everyone else is… or has… While I realize there are many of you who would rather not even see the name Britney Spears let alone have it attached to something you wear, know this: it’s helping the environment. Yes, you can help save the planet by shelling out a few bucks to own clothing items worn by the pop star during her recent guest appearance on CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother.” About a half dozen items of clothing (how many scenes does she have anyway) will be auctioned off to benefit the Natural Resources Defense Council. The … Continue reading

Brit Scores a Small Bit on a TV Show and Gets an Allowance to Boot

Maybe she was jealous of her baby sister’s new TV role? Or, perhaps, Britney Spears has simply tired of her daily Starbucks and retail therapy routine. Either way the troubled pop star is heading back to the small screen. Ms. Meltdown just scored a guest role on CBS’s “How I Met Your Mother.” The last time the mother of two appeared on TV was in April 2006 when she played a conservative talk show host on an episode of NBC’s “Will & Grace.” Prior to that she and ex-husband Kevin Federline enjoyed a brief stint as reality TV stars on … Continue reading

Britney Reunited with Sons

Score another one for Britney Spears’ dad. The man who the troubled singer has publicly called a “bully” and once said she “can’t stand to be around” has come to her rescue—yet again. This time Jamie Spears, the temporary co-executor of her estate, helped get lawyers to hammer out a deal so the trainwreck could see her two sons for the first time in nearly two months. On Saturday Britney was finally reunited (briefly) with 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James–her sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline. The last time Britney saw her boys was the night of January 3rd, … Continue reading

Britney Spears—-Why is She a Free Woman?

As you likely know by now derailed pop princess Britney Spears was granted an early release from UCLA Medical Center’s psych ward last week because a court representative found “no just cause” for the hold. “No just cause?!” Apparently, the court representative doesn’t watch the news, live in Los Angeles, or read this blog. In all seriousness Spears’ early release should be a lesson to anyone who thinks that a person should be institutionalized based solely on what he or she might consider “irrational” behavior. Because according to mental health experts, getting a patient to be held involuntarily on a … Continue reading
