Great Deal at Kohl’s for Girls

My daughter’s birthday is this week, and she’ll be turning three. We have been racking our brains trying to decide what to give her for a gift. My oldest son wanted to buy her one of those new Rose Petal Cottages, but we vetoed that idea. For one, I haven’t come across any great deals on this hot toy, or the accessories you need to purchase in addition to the toy. Still, we wanted to get her something, so we decided to ask her what she wanted and then take her on a shopping trip. It turns out that she … Continue reading

Kohl’s Free Hotel Stay with Dockers Purchase

Didn’t get in on the Dockers Free Flight deal? Don’t despair. Dockers has ANOTHER promotion going on, now through June 16, 2007. This time it’s through Kohl’s department store. It isn’t good online; the purchases must be made in the store. That’s about eighty minutes’ drive each way for me, but I’ve decided to go ahead and do it. I can probably get four pairs of … Continue reading

Kohls, a small department store offered me a $30 reward to spend any way I liked in the store. So the other night, while our house was being shown to potential buyers, we headed over to make a purchase. Andrew, my brilliantly frugal five-year-old son, voted for an attachment to our mixer, which I thought was pretty sensible. We headed over the the appliances, and I was secretly hoping that the waffle mixer … Continue reading

Playing up the Playroom

Decorating your child’s playroom may be one of the most fun room makeovers you’ll ever do. Even if you go for a sophisticated look, you’ll obviously still want to add some whimsical touches, since it is after all a “play” room intended for good times. You don’t have to be particular and fussy when it comes to this space. You can be as daring as you like, because kids love funky, brightly colored, interesting objects. Furnishings and accessories don’t need to follow any rigid rules; they just need to come together to fashion an inviting place to play, create, and … Continue reading
