I don’t know if you have seen the very disturbing video of a teen, Jenelle Evans that apparently stars in the MTV show “Teen Mom 2,” absolutely pummeling another teen. A group of people stand around egging it on until eventually they see that the teen being hit has had enough. Well the video went viral and it didn’t take long for the authorities to act on it. Carson’s Having a Baby and MTV’s Having a Ball

Technically, it’s Carson Daly’s girlfriend who’s having the couple’s first child, but the TV talk show host is thrilled still the same. Reps for the 35-year-old host of “Last Call With Carson Daly” just announced that Siri Pinter is in fact pregnant with Daly’s baby. Pinter is a staff member on Daly’s late-night show. The two reportedly started dating about a year ago. MTV’s Video Music Awards 2008

The Video Music Awards (VMAs) are over for another year and they were surprisingly…ordinary. There were no meltdowns, no hijinks, none of the stuff I usually tune in for! There was a rant by host Russell Brand (yeah, I know – who?), but I will get to that in a minute. A wise man once said the more second chances you give the more second chances you’ll get. Kind of makes you wonder whom Britney Spears has lent a hand to recently. Her goodwill gesture must have been a doozie because the reforming trainwreck is getting a second chance from MTV. Ordinarily, the information in that title would not be headline material, but this year MTV is trying something different than it has in recent years—-it’s actually looking to profit from a presidential campaign. For the first time in more than a decade the popular music network is selling time for political spots this election season. If MTV’s popular reality TV series suddenly morphed into of the young people it documents it would only now be of legal age to imbibe in an alcoholic beverage. Ironically, the show has often been accused of glamorizing underage drinking and it doesn’t look like that’s going to change anytime soon.
