Juicy Hollywood Gossip: LaBeouf Arrested, Like Father Like Son, and Bass Married?

Shia LaBeouf Arrested Seems like I remember reading not too long ago that Shia LaBeouf wanted to be a boring young actor who stayed out of trouble, but he didn’t do that last weekend. He was arrested in Chicago early Sunday morning at a Walgreens drugstore. A security guard reportedly asked LaBeouf to leave the store because he appeared to be drunk. The 21-year-old LaBeouf refused to leave and the police arrived about 2:30 am to arrest him. To his credit, the police said he was very courteous and polite. He was released on bond later that morning. He is … Continue reading

No Pity Party For Paris

Last week a veteran Hollywood publicist told a reporter from TV’s Entertainment Tonight: “Usually powerful people protect powerful people.” His comment was made following the re-jailing of Hollywood socialite Paris Hilton and spoke to the fact that when celebrities fall on tough times they can typically rely on their fellow stars to back them up in the midst of their crisis. In the case of Paris Hilton this celebrity “support” has been noticeably missing. Frankly, I find the publicist’s comment to be very interesting. Especially if you take a look back at other “fallen” stars. For example, when Mel Gibson … Continue reading

It’s been a busy week for celebrity fodder. The following are a few tidbits that are making headlines: Jamie Lee Curtis The 46-year-old actress says she has “closed the book” on her acting career. Curtis told “Access Hollywood” that she doesn’t consider herself an actor anymore. Curtis went on to say, “I’m just focused on my family and just can’t imagine anything that’s going to pull me away from them right now.” Mel Gibson The Academy Award-winning actor-director, who made international headlines this summer following a drunken-driving arrest and subsequent anti-Semitic tirade, is finally breaking his silence. The Circle of Life—Hollywood Style

They may earn gazillions of dollars for shooting a movie; have fans throw undergarments as they belt out tunes; and house more vehicles in their garage than a car dealer has on his entire lot, but celebrities are humans just the same. And as such they experience the circle of life as we all do (only they do so in designer duds). With that said, here is a synopsis of recent milestones met by a few famous names: BIRTH Wonder if he is MMMMBopping in the nursery? Taylor Hanson, the middle brother in the band Hanson, and his wife, Natalie, … Continue reading

Mel Gibson Avoids Jail

Mel Gibson won’t be going to jail for driving under the influence, instead he will be spending a lot of time in group therapy. A statement released by the L.A. County District Attorney’s office Thursday announced that the 50-year-old actor reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in his drunk-driving case. Basically, it spares him jail time but requires him to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, restricts his driver’s license for 90 days and sentences him to three years of probation. Gibson will also have to pay $1,300 in fines. In addition, the L.A. district attorney’s office reports that Gibson “volunteered to … Continue reading

The Righteous Deuce Bigalow

We all know what happened to Mel Gibson last week. He drank too much, got behind the wheel, went speeding down the highway, and when pulled over by the police, apparently decided to blame it on the Jews. Since then, there have been mixed feelings in Hollywood. Some have come out in support of Mel and many have remained silent. But there is one actor who has become the first to come out publicly and say he will never work with Mel because of his actions – Rob Schneider. Yeah, I know, I had to stop and take a second … Continue reading

Hollywood Star Accused of Driving Drunk

It’s not the headline Mel Gibson was looking for. But, newspapers around the nation are heralding it anyway: “Actor and Academy Award-Winning Director Arrested For Allegedly Driving Drunk.” Unfortunately, the news isn’t tabloid rumor; rather The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirms that deputies clocked Gibson “going 87 miles per hour in a 45-miles-per-hour zone along the Pacific Coast Highway at 2:36 a.m. Friday morning. Officers say they arrested the actor after “a breath test indicated Gibson’s blood-alcohol level was 0.12.” California drivers 21 and older must remain under 0.08 percent. According to police reports, the 50-year-old actor-director was cited … Continue reading
