Former “Tonight Show” sidekick Ed McMahon is in “extremely serious” condition at an undisclosed California hospital, according to new reports. The 85-year-old television personality reportedly has been hospitalized for the past three weeks with pneumonia and other medical problems, and is now in intensive care. McMahon’s rep refused to reveal which hospital the star is currently being treated at; however he did confirm that the Super Bowl ad man’s wife and family members are present. It may have sounded like an April Fool’s joke, but the bomb actor Joaquin Phoenix dropped at a Paul Newman tribute earlier this week was anything but funny.
