Eighteen year old Alexis Wineman wants to become the next Miss America. She is the currently reigning Miss Montana, pretty, and has an autism spectrum disorder. What a difference a few years can make… It was just three years ago that newly crowned Miss America Kirsten Haglund was so painfully thin her parents “dragged” her to a doctor who diagnosed the teen with anorexia. Five months after getting the boot from Country Music Television, the beauty competition has found a new home on TLC. Mario Lopez Lands the Miss America Gig

I never paid that much attention to Mario Lopez until I watched “Dancing with the Stars” last season. I was a little too old to have grown up with “Saved by the Bell” and really did not notice anything else he had done. But, I became a fan after seeing him and partner Karina go to the Dancing finals.
