In her talk “Go Ye Therefore” Sister Silvia H Allred speaks about the importance of missionary work. She begins by sharing that the Lord’s call to all of us to share the gospel with those around us. It is important to reach out to others. There may be times when you are in a situation where most people are members of the church and only one or two people are not. In his talk “Raising the Bar” Elder L Tom Perry speaks to the future missionaries of the church. He begins by sharing a story about his son, Lee. When Lee was in high school he was a high jumper. The sharing time theme for October is “I show my faith in Jesus Christ when I share the gospel with others.” The scripture is Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before your men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” There is no specific song this month since the Sacrament program is soon. Gospel Doctrine: Prepare His Ways and Make His Paths Straight

The sometimes not-so-good thing about detailed scripture study is that you very rarely make it very far very fast. Today, after a good half hour of study, I finished the first three verses of Matthew 3, which make up part of next week’s lesson.
