Teriyaki Portobello Mushroom Sandwich

Growing up in Hawaii I was exposed to teriyaki flavored everything. From teriyaki chicken and beef teriyaki to teriyaki tuna and pineapple teriyaki pork kabobs. Teriyaki sauce is also a popular flavoring for vegetable dishes, which is why the notion of a Portobello Mushroom Sandwich coated with sweet teriyaki sauce is not completely foreign to me. Mushroom Crusted Ham and Cheese Pie

This recipe contains three of my favorite ingredients – mushrooms, ham, and cheese. I think it would be great especially if you have leftover ham after a holiday or Sunday dinner, but you can also buy small packages of diced ham in the meat department.
