New Year’s Resolutions – Where Do You Rank?

Are you ready with your New Year’s Resolutions? In just three short days, we bid farewell to 2006 and welcome 2007 into our lives. It seems like just yesterday we were facing the Y2K crisis as we prepared to roll the calendars over from 1999 to 2000 and now, we are just three years shy of turning it to 2010. I remember reading an article in 1999 that described the fact that we were living in an age when science fiction was no longer a fairytale, but becoming fact. Resolutions

As the New Year approaches many people will undoubtedly be making resolutions about things they want to change in their lives. My Frugal New Year Resolutions

Whenever I make resolutions, they do tend to be frugal ones. Okay, with the exception of my one big one: spend more time playing with the kids. There are various televised activities that you and your kids can enjoy together, and you can certainly create your own fun. Have a little party, complete with hors d’oeuvres and some bubbly beverages like ginger ale, sparkling cider, or sparkling grape juice for toasting. Pick up some New Year’s Eve party favors, hats, noisemakers, and decorations, or create your own. If you feel your children can handle … Continue reading

What a Perfect Christmas!

I feel guilty writing on Christmas, but I just had to jot down my thoughts while my children are playing with their new things. It’s been a perfect Christmas so far and we still have several hours left. I’m feeling so blessed and content that I just had to share. We started yesterday, having our holiday dinner on Christmas Eve, which is becoming a tradition. We let the kids open one small gift after dessert – apple pie alamode. My husband and I greeted Christmas as it turned midnight, with a sip of bubbly. We slept soundly, and awoke this … Continue reading
