The Bronx Zoo: Travel Tips

If you’re planning a trip to the Bronx Zoo… here are some helpful hints to make your day go a little more smoothly. Plan ahead! Will you be bringing snacks and lunch, or buying them at the zoo? If you are bringing food, pack the night before so the morning isn’t crazy (like ours was). Watch the weather. Our day was cut short by rain because only one person had brought an umbrella! The Bronx Zoo: Butterfly Garden

One of my favorite parts of the Bronx Zoo experience was the Butterfly Garden. Located almost exactly in the center of the zoo, it combines an outdoor butterfly garden with an indoor butterfly house where you can hunt for more than 40 different types of butterflies! Admission to the Butterfly Garden is included in your POP Pass, or can be purchased for $3. I have lived in New Jersey most of my life, and had never made the trip up to the Bronx Zoo — until this past weekend!
