Well, we knew it was just a matter of time before they tied the knot… And while many assumed they would wait until Valentine’s Day to get hitched it appears French President Nicolas Sarkozy and ex-supermodel turned singer-songwriter Carla Bruni couldn’t wait to make it legal. France’s President Courts Famous Model—Is a Wedding in the Works?

If you ask supermodel Carla Bruni’s mother then the answer is “yes.” At least that’s what is being trumpeted on the front page of France’s “Le Parisien.” According to Bruni’s mother, Marisa Borini, official confirmation could come as early as January 1st.
