Dr. Phil may be ruing the day he even heard the name Britney Spears. Since getting involved in the trainwreck’s life not only has he been sanctioned by his “colleagues,” the outspoken Texas transplant is learning he has no friends in Hollywood. TV Good News/Bad News: Oprah Winfrey Network and Another Hit to Striking Writers

Oprah Winfrey is taking over the world… If having a hit TV show, a magazine, multiple radio shows, a website, and a multi-media empire wasn’t enough now the billionaire is getting her own TV network. Winfrey just announced that she has entered into a deal with Discovery Communications where the Discovery Health network will be turned over to Winfrey next year, becoming OWN – the Oprah Winfrey Network. Deal or No Deal—Osmond’s Yes, Rosie No

It’s a done deal. Despite the death of their beloved father George Osmond, the Osmond siblings (plus 120 other family members) will appear on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” as planned. Donny Osmond told TV’s “Entertainment Tonight” that after much thought the family decided to go through with plans to appear on the legendary talk show host’s show. Osmond revealed that Winfrey sent a private jet to Provo, Utah where the family had gathered following the news of patriarch George’s death. Does anyone say no to the fabulous Miss “O?” Apparently, if your name is Rosie O’Donnell the answer is yes. Yes, Ro said no to “O” — as in the legendary talk show queen Oprah Winfrey.
