Hollywood Couples Calling It Quits

So much for their rumored summer wedding… Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson have gone their separate ways. The 39-year-old actor and the 28-year-old actress reportedly split just before Memorial Day weekend. According to PEOPLE magazine, the two are “still friends” but are no longer romantically involved. No word on what caused the split, but the timing seems a bit odd (at least to those who had been hinting of a summer wedding between the golden haired pair). After all, it was just a few months ago that the two (who met when filming 2006’s “You, Me, and Dupree”) went public … Continue reading

Juicy Hollywood Tidbits – May 11, 2007

Sting Loses Discrimination Case Sting may be an activist for world hunger, the rainforest, and human rights, but a judge recently ruled he and wife Trudie Styler sexually discriminated against their personal chef. The chef, Jane Martin, claimed she was fired when she became pregnant and the judge ordered the couple to pay a hefty, but as yet unknown, sum. Trudie and Sting said they plan to appeal the judgment, … Continue reading

Or, are they just being taken for a ride? It’s a question I ask every time I see Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson’s names used in the same sentence. The actors have been romantically linked in the tabloids for some time. But, are they in fact a real couple? At times it seems as though they don’t even know the answer. If you are just joining this relationship-go-round here’s the deal: 27-year-old Hudson … Continue reading

Is the ‘You, Me, and Dupree’ Character a Blatant Rip Off?

Owen Wilson owes Steely Dan and apology. Or at least they think so. You see, back in 2001, Steely Dan won a Grammy for Best Pop Performance with a tune titled “Cousin Dupree.” It seems the Dupree character in Own Wilson’s new movie, You, Me, and Dupree has a whole lot of similarities to Cousin Dupree of the song. Right down to the same name. Steely Dan, creators of such hits as “Hey Nineteen” and “Rikki Don’t Lost That Number” posted a humorous letter on their web page on July 17th to Luke Wilson, brother of Owen. They go on … Continue reading
