Setting Playstation 3 Parental Controls

The Sony Playstation 3 has got to be one of the best video game systems out there, especially with its coveted Blu-Ray DVD player. Unfortunately, though, out of all of the popular video game systems, the Playstation 3 is probably the one with the most violent and bloody games. There are probably only a handful of games that are appropriate for children. If you do have young children (or even older ones) in your home, you should probably set up the parental controls for your system. Here is how to do just that. Unlike the other popular video game systems, … Continue reading

It has been a long wait, but we have some news. New Career Path: Playing Video Games as a Living

Confession: My husband is a big video game fan. He owns (or has owned) every gaming console ever sold except the two brand-new ones: The Wii and Playstation 3. You have three guesses as to what he wants for Christmas, and the first two don’t count. So when I was reading one of his gaming magazines he had left laying around, and saw an article where Tom “Tsquared” Taylor (who apparently plays video games very well) had signed a contract to be paid $1.25 million dollars to do just that, I yelled, “So Doug, just how good are you at … Continue reading

I’m not Buying it

Is there anything we won’t buy our kids for Christmas? There are some things I refuse to buy, and you can probably guess the main one since so much craziness has occurred to keep this item in the news. Play Station 3 You guessed it. I won’t be purchasing a Playstation3 now or anytime soon. The PS3 is going to be a very cool game. It’s been in the works for some time, and the release date has been pushed back often. I was writing about it around this time last year, selling articles and then updated articles, to let … Continue reading

Video Game Lovers Gone Wild

Is someone in your house begging you for a new PlayStation 3? With all of the hype surrounding the game console’s debut, I’m not sure Santa even has a chance of getting his hands on one. Frankly, I think the mayhem that has transpired over the new PlayStation is crazy. Yesterday, two men waiting in line (outside) of our neighborhood Wal-Mart in anticipation of the release of the game console were taken to the hospital after a brawl broke out. And, according to news reports, similar scenes have been reported at other stores around the country. In Milwaukee, some people … Continue reading
