Young Women’s: Completing Handicrafts for Value Projects

Many of the value projects include learning a new skill or craft for Young Women’s. A lot of homemaking skills are becoming a lost art and it would be wonderful for your daughter or young women to learn them. A few of the skills that I learned in young women’s included basic cake decorating which gave me the courage to decorate my children’s birthday cakes. Young Women: Value Projects Made Easy

When you or your daughter are considering subjects for your next value project you should consider activities that she is already participating in. There are many different projects that can involve school activities or classes. If your daughter is in high school this is an added benefit since she is already so busy. Completing Personal Progress With Your Young Woman

One of the best ways you can help your Young Women with Personal Progress is to complete the program yourself. If you are a Young Women’s leader you can earn the medallion with your girls. As a parent you will not be eligible for the medallion, but you can only grow spiritually from completing the experiences. The Personal Progress program that the Young Women work through is a wonderful program. I was called to serve with the Young Women shortly after the church implemented the new program. I was and still am so impressed with the changes that the program underwent.
