Usher may have gotten cold feet, but it seems nothing was going stop Steve Martin from getting hitched this weekend. Not even the fact that his guests didn’t know there was going to be a wedding. In a previous blog I wrote about the outrageous appeal of Paris Hilton. The just freed jailbird’s popularity was tested and further proved during a recent eBay auction. A couple of jokesters from the website HollywoodStarTrash.com rummaged through the celebutante’s garbage and put a few items on eBay. The results are now in and they may surprise you. An empty container of gourmet dog food taken from Hilton’s trash fetched $305 in the online auction, which wrapped up this weekend. Perhaps, I should have been a professional royal-watcher… A couple of weeks ago when the news broke that Prince William and his girlfriend of nearly five years, Kate Middleton “split” then dramatically reunited last month, my royal feelers went up. Concert For Diana—What I Missed… What Did I Miss?

Who knew I would one day rue the day I didn’t have VH1? Our cable company doesn’t offer the music channel so I didn’t get to see Prince William and Prince Harry’s musical tribute to their mother in its entirety (Concert for Diana aired live on VH1 this morning). Nearly a decade after her horrific death Princess Diana is still making headlines. The latest coverage includes pleas from Diana’s sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. The princes are going public with their wishes that a British television station not broadcast a series of photos taken immediately after the car crash that killed their mother in Paris on August 31, 1997. So much for that December royal wedding some were predicting… British tabloids took a hit today after several media outlets confirmed that Prince William and his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton decided to call it quits. According to The Sun newspaper, the couple reached an “amicable agreement” to separate, though a spokesman at the prince’s office refused to comment on the break up. The 24-year-old prince and his 25-year-old girlfriend met as students at St. Andrew’s University in Scotland in 2001 and first started dating in 2003. Prince Harry going to War?

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Princess Diana’s youngest son, 22-year-old Prince Harry, is set to go to Iraq very soon. It is believed that the Defense Secretary Des Browne will make the announcement on February 26th. The royal family has not made a comment on the report and the Defense Ministry had said it was speculative earlier today, but CNN is reporting that a British Military source is saying he will indeed go to war.
