Church Guidance for Family Finances

In many relationships money can be one of the biggest causes of stress and contention. We have been counseled by church leaders to avoid debt, and to take control of our finances. As we avoid debt we avoid the burden that is placed on us as we struggle to pay back what we have borrowed. Gardening

This year I am attempting to grow a few vegetable plants for the first time. We have been counseled to have a garden each year. My in-laws have a huge garden in which they grow cucumbers, tomatoes, corn, green beans and many other vegetables. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has this marvelous new program called Provident Living which you may access by visiting the website. From that website, the introductory paragraph to this month’s focus reads: “Maintaining good physical health allows our minds and bodies to function optimally, so we can more fully enjoy life. I thought that I would write a blog about a great site that is operated by the church that not everyone may know about. It is providentliving.org. This is a wonderful site that has resources available on topics that affect our temporal lives. I love to go and just browse all the information that is available through providentliving.org. The site is divided into various sections.
