Catching Up with Britney Spears

Britney Spears seems to be making a comeback and while her life is still probably considered crazy by some standards, things do seem to be working out well for the former pop queen. She’s getting ready to head out on her Circus tour in March, but she may not be alone. Sam Lufti, the man Britney Spears’ parents consider to a parasite sucking the life out of their derailed daughter, has now (at least temporarily) been shut out of the popwreck’s world. Yesterday a judge named Brit’s father, Jamie Spears, conservator of his daughter. Which basically means that he is now in control of the 26-year-old singer’s life. In addition, the judge also slapped Lufti with a restraining order mandating him to stay away from Britney, who continues to be evaluated at UCLA Medical Center’s psychiatric hospital. Oops, She Did It Again! Britney Spears Recommitted to Hospital

Same sad scene different day. It was déjà vu for Los Angeles paramedics last night as they once again returned to Casa Crazy (a.k.a. Britney Spears’ mansion). According to news reports (have you turned on your TV this morning), the popwreck was strapped on a stretcher by emergency personnel and taken by ambulance to UCLA Medical Center for a 72-hour psychiatric hold.
