OUCH! Celebrity Wrecks

Before I tell you why Jerry Seinfeld should be wearing a neck brace (and a full body cast) instead of “Dancing with the Stars” pro Derek Hough I wanted to give you an update on how the blond two-stepper is doing today. Two words: NOT good. According to reports, the popular ABC dance competition might make history next week when Hough’s celebrity partner Shannon Elizabeth is forced to waltz her way around the dance floor without her injured partner. Doctors have instructed Hough to stay off the dance floor until further notice. PEOPLE magazine is reporting that the 22-year-old pro … Continue reading

Seinfeld Seasons 1-7 Only $99.99 shipped

It was the show about nothing that captivated Americans across the nation. My husband still watches it several times a week; I can tell because the guffawing can be heard from one end of the house to the other. It’s humor for adults; sometimes wry, sometimes blatant, always funny. One of my favorite episodes is of George pretending to be a marine biologist. He figures it’s a safe enough lie and that he’ll never be found out. Of course a whale gets stuck on a the beach where he and his new girlfriend are, and he gets found out. Everybody … Continue reading

Need a Coffee Table Book?

Once upon a time there was a sitcom called Seinfeld that was all about nothing. That was the premise of the entire show, that it was about nothing that really mattered, yet it covered various aspects of daily life. It was about the trivial, the silly, and it was a very popular show that many people found quite humorous. One episode had the crazy character Kramer, played by Michael Richards (who recently ruined his career with an ugly outburst) created a book. It was a coffee table book but unlike other such volumes, it was about coffee tables. It even … Continue reading

Happy Festivus!

Happy Festivus to you and yours. You remember don’t you? “Festivus for the rest of us!” (That line always makes me smile.) For all you non-“Seinfeld” fans, Festivus is a wacky holiday popularized in a 1997 “Seinfeld” episode. In the episode the holiday was celebrated by the Costanza clan on December 23rd and featured an airing of grievances and feats of strength in which a guest must pin the host before the party ends. The holiday was the creation of Frank Constanza as a protest of Christmas’ commercialism. In the show he puts up an unadorned aluminum pole instead of … Continue reading

Where Are They Now—Jerry Seinfeld

Jerry Seinfeld used to be a regular member of my household—-in my pre-mom days. Like millions of others, I too was a rabid “Seinfeld” fan, and even when the NBC hit comedy ended in 1998 I remained loyal by watching the show in syndication. Since then I got married, gave birth and life changed—my “Seinfeld” days are now officially over. Coincidentally, in the days since his award-winning sitcom went off the air Seinfeld too has gone from top paying actor to husband and dad. The comedian still does standup, but spends most of his time as husband to wife Jessica … Continue reading
