Celebrities Going Back To School

It’s no rumor… Singer Shakira is resting her hips for a while and letting her brain get a workout at the University of California Los Angeles. Shocking, right? UCLA has had its share of celebrity students in the past, but none, I’m sure, that can shake it quite like the Colombian star. According to her reps, Shakira is attending classes at the California college and studying the history of western civilization. The singer says one of the reasons she signed up for the class is so she could “learn from the best.” The prestigious professor Robert Cleve, who has his … Continue reading

Fashion Files: Trump’s Hair and A Rocker Turned Designer

IS TRUMP GETTING A TRIM? So much has been said (and written) about Donald Trump’s hairdo (or don’t) that it came as no surprise to me that the real estate mogul is finally putting his hair where his mouth is. I am not a fan of professional wrestling, but I may be swayed to tune into Wrestlemania 23 on April 1st. At the ceremony the celebrities pledged “to … Continue reading

International Goodwill

We devote a lot of space to celebrity do-gooders in this blog category. However, looking back at previous blogs I have noticed the majority of them focus on the charitable works of Americans. Well, here’s a blog and about a non-American celebrity who is reaching out to children from her home country. Five time Latin Grammy nominee Shakira just announced she will donate the proceeds from a concert in her hometown to build an arts school for 1,800 children forced to flee their homes by Colombia’s civil war. According to press reports, the concert will take place November 15th in … Continue reading
