In 1992 I was putting on the finishing touches to my college career that included a number of fabulous seats to a string of incredible concerts from U2 (twice) to Billy Joel. Back then the Stone Temple Pilots had just come on the scene and my boyfriend at the time was a huge fan. Sean Levert Dies Sean Levert, the son of O’Jays lead singer Eddie Levert, had died at the age of 39. He fell ill while he was in jail, but was taken to the Lutheran Hospital in Cleveland. He died an hour after reaching the hospital. Authorities are not sure what killed him, but say foul play is not suspected. Levert was the lead singer of the 80s R&B trio LeVert that consisted of him, his brother Gerald, and friend Marc Gordon. Celebrity Rehabber of the Day

Another day, another celebrity in rehab. This time, it is Velvet Revolver lead singer Scott Weiland. The Velvet Revolver issued a statement today on their web page that said, “Following Velvet Revolver’s performance last night in Los Angeles, lead singer Scott Weiland voluntarily entered a rehab facility.” Now unlike some (Kirsten Dunst took me by surprise), this should not a big surprise to anyone that knows anything about Weiland’s history.
