Rosie O’Donnell Returns to TV and Billy Joel Returns a Favor

You didn’t really think she would stay away forever, did you? The rumors that have been flying around for months have finally been confirmed: Rosie O’Donnell is returning to the airwaves as host of her own TV variety show titled “Rosie’s Variety Hour.” (Original, huh?) According to Variety, O’Donnell’s new show will debut on November 26th on NBC. Right now the peacock network is airing the pre-Thanksgiving show as a network special, but execs say if the ratings are strong the hour-long show could become a permanent part of NBC’s primetime line-up. Now that Paul McCartney has finally settled his bitter $48.6 million divorce from second wife Heather Mills he is turning his attention to his one true love—-his cherished first wife Linda. In honor of the photographer, singer and animal rights activist the former Beatle is planning to release a coffee table book he says he hopes illustrates his devotion to his beloved late wife. Linda McCartney died in 1998 after losing her battle with breast cancer. The ugly battle between legendary TV producer Aaron Spelling’s wife and daughter is getting even uglier. Since the mogul’s death two months ago Candy Spelling and daughter ex-90210 star Tori Spelling have engaged in a highly publicized war of words. The latest chapter in the bitter dispute involves a special tribute Tori had planned to executive produce and host in memory of her late father.
