Volunteer to Help Promote Emergency Preparedness

Once you have prepared yourself and your family, you may think of those in the community around you. There are ways that you can help those around you in the event of a disaster. One way is to volunteer to help the government after a disaster. In the United States you can do this by volunteering for Citizen’s Corps. There are several different programs sponsored through the Corps, which you can participate in.
