Shocking News About “Sixth Sense” Star

I don’t know about you, but whenever I hear Haley Joel Osment’s name I automatically think of the chubby-cheeked little boy with saucer eyes who starred in M. Night Shyamalan’s “The Sixth Sense.” I always thought he was so cute (even though the movie scared the heck out of me) and what’s more, he seemed so polite, well spoken, and just very “together.” By all appearances he seemed destined to be one of the rare child actors who would escape the pitfalls of celebrity. Wrong. According to an L.A. newspaper, Osment is currently being charged with three misdemeanors including driving … Continue reading

Hollywood Loses Another Familiar Face

He always reminded me of my uncle. He had an engaging face. Not stoic or harsh—the type of face that made you feel like he was very approachable. He never struck me as the type of actor who would deny you a picture or autograph. I could be completely wrong, but now I will never get to test my theory because Bruno Kirby is dead. According to the Associated Press, Kirby died Monday in Los Angeles from complications related to leukemia. I was shocked to hear the news… especially since I didn’t realize that he was ill. A statement released … Continue reading

My Top Ten Johnny Depp Movies

Many people act as if Johnny Depp has just arrived in Hollywood. The success of the two Pirates of the Caribbean movies have totaled almost $700 million dollars so far, making Johnny one of the hottest commodities in Hollywood (especially since Mel Gibson seems to have left a huge opening). But, I have always loved Johnny and have been a big fan of his movies, even the less popular ones. So here is a list of my favorite Johnny Depp movies (sans the Pirate movies of course): 10. Arizona Dream Watching this movie will make you feel like you are … Continue reading

Hollywood Star Accused of Driving Drunk

It’s not the headline Mel Gibson was looking for. But, newspapers around the nation are heralding it anyway: “Actor and Academy Award-Winning Director Arrested For Allegedly Driving Drunk.” Unfortunately, the news isn’t tabloid rumor; rather The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirms that deputies clocked Gibson “going 87 miles per hour in a 45-miles-per-hour zone along the Pacific Coast Highway at 2:36 a.m. Friday morning. Officers say they arrested the actor after “a breath test indicated Gibson’s blood-alcohol level was 0.12.” California drivers 21 and older must remain under 0.08 percent. According to police reports, the 50-year-old actor-director was cited … Continue reading

What Is A Retrosexual?

Okay, by now I am sure you are familiar with the term “metrosexual.” The word is used to describe a guy who dresses better than some female models, waxes all unnecessary body hair, spends more in time in the spa than in the gym, and knows the difference between a manicure and a pedicure because he has experienced both. So, what is a “retrosexual?” According to fashion experts he is a bit hairy and shows a little paunch. Well, perhaps that is an understatement. Editors at Details magazine define a “retrosexual” as a “manly man, an alpha male who may … Continue reading

What Is It About David Hasselhoff?

Sure, growing up my brothers and I never missed an episode of “Knight Rider.” And, I confess, I did watch “Baywatch” for a couple of seasons… but what is it about David Hasselhoff that makes him so irresistible to so many? He has reached superstar status as a singer overseas, though his success in the music industry hasn’t carried over to the United States. Yet, I continue to see Hasselhoff on commercials, in magazines, in the “American Idol” audience and making the rounds on the talk show circuit. In addition, he is currently making headlines in the States as a … Continue reading

Russell Crowe (who won an Oscar for his role in the 2000 film “Gladiator”) and his wife, Danielle Spencer, are adjusting to life with two boys today. Reports say Spencer gave birth to Tennyson Spencer Crowe in an Australian hospital Friday. (The couple says they will call the baby “Tenny.”) He weighed in at 8 pounds and joins his two-and-a-half-year-old brother Charles Spencer Crowe. It was just six months ago that Crowe broke the news that the couple was expecting a new addition to their family. And, in March I (along with millions of others) watched as the Academy-Award winning … Continue reading

Brad Pitt—Actor… Father… Mr. Generosity??

He’s a new dad, a loving companion to Angelina Jolie, named by PEOPLE magazine as “The Sexiest Man Alive,” and now Brad Pitt can add a new title to his ever-growing collection of monikers. Pitt was just named one of “15 People Who Make America Great” by Newsweek magazine. The magazine credits Pitt for using his megawatt star power to shine the spotlight on neglected causes in Africa. Props to Pitt for using the paparazzi to his advantage! He is the focus of intense media scrutiny, but doesn’t let it get him down. Rather, as the target of photographers, Pitt … Continue reading
