Extra Magic Hours for December 2007

Extra Magic Hours are a great added benefit to staying at a Walt Disney World resort. At no additional cost, guests staying at any one of the hotels at Walt Disney World can either enter a park one hour earlier or stay at a park three hours later than regular day guests. This cuts down on those long ride lines and can make your visit a bit more leisurely. Add to that the benefit of knowing you can take a boat, monorail or bus back to your hotel without fighting parking lot and Orlando traffic and most people breathe a … Continue reading

New Time Shares Coming to the Animal Kingdom

Do you enjoy vacationing regularly at Disney World? Well, you’re in luck there is a plan in the works for 458 time-share units to be opened at the Animal Kingdom. This is the sixth such time share type of property to open in the Disney World area and will include some new construction and renovated accommodations at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and will feature the African details popular at the lodge as well as views of the Savannah. It’s Tough to be a Bug: The Secret of AK’s Tree of Life

Within The Tree of Life that stands as the centerpiece of Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, there is a show that bridges both 3D film and interactive entertainment. It’s Tough to be a Bug remains one of Animal Kingdom’s crown achievements and is simply not to be missed. Starring the characters of Disney/Pixar’s “A Bug’s Life,” this 8-minute 3D attraction explains exactly why it’s tough to be a bug. Incorporating music, 3D technology and even some interactive surprises, this attraction is a remarkable experience. As guests are seated and prepare for the attraction to come, Flik, the adorable ant from … Continue reading

Expedition Everest Attraction Spawns Everest Desserts

You might think that Expedition Everest’s “charm” remains solely within the Animal Kingdom theme park. However, Disney chefs – incidentally some of the most acclaimed chefs in the world – have been hard at work preparing a number of Expedition Everest themed desserts, which guests can find throughout the Walt Disney World resort. The first two desserts are appropriately found close the Animal Kingdom theme park at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, a resort that allows you to watch the giraffes and zebras of the Animal Kingdom attraction, Kilmanjaro Safari, graze from your hotel room balcony. Animal Kingdom Lodge’s Boma restaurant … Continue reading

Two New Restaurants for Walt Disney World

Have you ever noticed the lack of restaurants in Animal Kingdom? Perhaps it’s just me, but there seems to be a lack of restaurants in the park that actually allow you to have a nice, comfortable meal whilst taking a rest. With the exception of Restaurantosaurus and Rainforest Cafe (which actually lies just outside the gates of Animal Kingdom), there’s little to choose from when you find yourself hungry. Granted. There are a few quick stops such as Flame Tree Barbeque and Pizzafari, but in comparison to Walt Disney World’s other parks, there’s simply little to choose from in the … Continue reading

Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain

If there’s one thing that Disney World aficionados are excited about this year, it’s the opening of Disney’s newest attraction at Animal Kingdom, Expedition Everest. When I visited Animal Kingdom in December, the construction was complete for the ride, but the ride was still not open as of yet. The structure is magnificent in and of itself and can be seen from around the park. The newest mountain at the Disney World Resort, which joins a family of other mountains – Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and Splash Mountain, is a near perfect (and obviously smaller) replica of the famous … Continue reading
