One of the big bits of news coming out of MacWorld during Steve Job’s keynote address today is the confirmation of the latest Apple laptop, which is something quite different. Rent Movies on ITunes and Other Apple News

In Apple news today, a rumor that users will be able to rent movies on iTunes has been confirmed. Apple forged a deal with 20th Century Fox to make movies and videos available for rent through Apple’s iTunes music store. These movies and videos will be recent releases. It is not yet clear how the movies and videos will be rented, if it is for a subscription-based service or a fee per download. I just love those Apple ads that pit the PC guy against the Mac guy. They are so very entertaining in a way that doesn’t put the competitor down. I frequently go to Apple.com just to view the ads. Time Magazine has named the Apple iPhone the invention of the year in a move that has many people cheering and a few wondering if the magazine has given in to the hype. Wondering what everyone is thinking about Leopard, the new Mac OSX 10.5 operating system? Here are the current reviews that will tell you all about it. From CNET.com CNET gave Leopard a good review overall. It did mention some issues with the new operating system, namely installation issues that seem to be plaguing many users. They also mentioned that a few features, such as the new geotagging are difficult to locate. The biggest drawback, is that Leopard won’t run on older Macs that don’t have updated processors. We are getting close to the release date of the latest Apple Mac operating system, OS X Leopard. This operating system promises more than 300 new features and has been hailed as the most impressive version of Mac OSX ever. Apple itself says that this is the biggest system update in Mac history.
