Globes Gone Swag Stays and Rumors Swirl Over Baby Harlow

When you tune in to watch the Golden Globe Awards tonight you won’t be treated to the traditional glitz and glam on the red carpet. Nor will you get to see stars dripping with jewels knock back glasses of champagne live during the swanky dinner party setting that is typically associated with the televised ceremony. It’s the awards show my 3-year-old dog-loving daughter would love front row tickets to–the Fido Awards. Britain’s first-ever awards to honor canine cinematic excellence were handed out Sunday and caused quite a scene at London’s South Bank arts center. The show, billed as the world’s first-ever international awards ceremony for canine screen stars, was packed with howling performances by four-legged stars. I can picture it now… a few months ago a summer intern working with Emmy show producers comes into work following an evening taking in Shakespeare’s Othello at a knock-off Globe Theatre in Burbank. It’s hailed as “TV’s Biggest Night.” The 58th Primetime Emmy Awards air tonight on NBC and I can’t wait.
