Honestly, I had no idea California was facing a crisis until I accidentally tuned into Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show yesterday. That’s when I saw an emotionally distraught Miss California USA recounting to Ellen a torrid tale of misconception. Turns out the woman sitting next to DeGeneres, Christina Silva, was technically not Miss California USA. Well, she was… for a few weeks. Confused? So was I. So, here’s the deal. In about an hour I will turn on NBC’s “Today” show. I can’t wait to see Matt Lauer’s interview with newly crowned Miss Puerto Rico, Ingrid Marie Rivera. She’s the beauty queen who endured an alleged pepper spray incident prior to gaining the title last week.
