Tips for Shooting in Black-and-White

I was this close to using a black-and-white photo of my daughter as our Christmas card picture. The photo’s muted tones complemented the card’s red border perfectly. But, at the last minute I decided to go with a double image card and stuck with colored shots. I don’t know about you, but I have a weakness for black-and-white photography.
