Cancun Vacation – Restaurants

While in Mexico you would expect to find good Mexican food but the Cancun area also offers Mayan food and a variety of multicultural food ranging from American to Italian. Most of our time was spent in Playa del Carmen, so I got a taste of some of the best restaurants in that town. While in Mexico we visited the magnificent ruins of Tulum and Chichen-Itza. The ruins are definitely something that you don’t want to miss. The area is seeped in history. Cancun Vacation – Xel-ha A Snorkeler’s Heaven

Xel-ha nicknamed “Snorkel Heaven” definitely deserves the title. It was my first time to snorkel and I was a little nervous but he combination of fresh and salt water in the calm waters of Xel-ha was prefect. We swam for hours watching the plentiful schools of colorful fish, both large and small, and even saw a few manta rays swimming along the bottom. Cancun has often been the hot spot for college students to revel in the sun during spring break or cruise ships to stop for a shore outing. But recently the state of Quintana Roo where Cancun is located has been trying to break their bad-boy image and attract more families. i wouldn’t reccommend this destination for families with young children, but there is a lot to offer families with school-age children and teenagers. Recently my husband and I returned from a vacation to the Cancun Mexico area.
